College Football Playoff hopes seem to be still alive for Alabama football. Despite losses to Vanderbilt and Tennessee, the Crimson Tide have a 53% chance of making the CFP per ESPN's Playoff Predictor, better than all but 11 teams in college football, and fourth-best in the SEC behind Georgia (85%), Texas (75%) and Tennessee (68%).

Three weeks remain in college football's regular season, and things continue to feel as delightfully messy as ever. The SEC could end up with anywhere from three to five teams in the College Football Playoff (though the CFP committee's most recent rankings suggest three or four is more likely than five).
