How do I get to Glen Canyon National Recreation Area from Page, AZ? When I'm searching for ways to get there, I can't find anything. My friend and I are flying into Page and we will not have a car since we aren't of age to rent one yet. Is is mostly tours or are we able to get a cab service there?

We used Dixie Ellis lower canyon tour. Our tour guide was Jerome and he was great about showing us which pictures to make and also making pictures of our group (as well as others). It was the highlight of our AZ trip. The closer to noon you get your tour, the better the sun light coming through. Have a great experience!!

You can expect a crowd. Shouldn't be as crowded during summer, however, there's plenty to see and do. Plus weather should be cooler

well , might as well stop at glen canyon dam. wanted to do the tour but it was a bit pricey for my budget. horseshoe bend close by. thats a short walk from parking area. Lone rock was great too for our van camping. stayed there for 8 dollars . lower antelope canyon if you plan to go, make sure to make reservations at least two days ahead cause the tours are always full. Plus pick the morning tour . by noontime the lifhting is perfect to see the rock formations and stuff . our central point is Page where we get all our supplies.

We aren't into long hikes either. But, we did many things that did not include long hikes. We stayed 5 nights in Page & everyday we did something different. One day we took the Antelope Canyon Boat Tour which is a1 hour pontoon boat trip. It was very nice. We drove to the Upper Antelope Canyon to take the tour. You have to make reservations to do this. We made the reservations when we arrived in Page. The same day we did the Lower Antelope Canyon. You book the tour and are driven to the site by the tour guide. We went to the north Rim of the Grand Canyon which was a full day trip and so worth the trip. I think it opened this past May. So it may be closed in April. We took the Horseshoe Bend Tour. It's from the Horseshoe Bend Slot Canyon Tour. You can either take the full tour or just the Horseshoe Bend Tour which we did. It's much easier than walking to see the Bend which is free but it's a LONG WALK in the heat. The tour place in located in the Dam Plaza. While at the Dam Plaza the Dam Bar & Grill is a great place to stop for a bite to eat. We also took the Glen Canyon Dam Tour which is very interesting and inexpensive. All the tours we took were very worth while and not much walking. Enjoy your trip!!!! We did!!!
