Free timed passes required for the main exhibit. But don’t forget about the exhibits in the lobby. Arrive early or stay after your time allotted to view these exhibits. Especially Daniel’s Story. Ver…Full review by 352clm

A well-designed museum that treats a sensitive topic with a neutral point of view. The permanent exhibition's narrow and sequential layout doesn't handle large tour groups well. Try and come later …Full review by worldtraveller1745TP

I went in september. not too hot not too cold. so i would pick a month either in spring or fall. Personally i would not drive. Parking is going to cost you. most hotel that have parking charge around $50 a day to park and driving around dc is a nightmare. i used uber to get around. I stayed at Hilton Garden Inn Washington DC/U.S. Capitol, 1225 First Street Ne, Washington DC, DC 20002-4274 Excellent hotel. Would stay there again. You don't need a guided tour at the holocaust museum. It is pretty self explanatory. It is four floors. I would recommend two days, two floors per day. If you go to Arlington National Cemetery, you can take the trolley around and they have a tour guide on the trolley that explains things. Food is expensive. $5.00 for a cup of hot tea. Hope this helps. Enjoy
We are three seniors traveling to DC for a short visit and the Holocaust Museum is one of our must see museums. I would like to know if it is possible to get day of tickets on 3/28

This is a very sought after museum and it is probably best to book in advance.
